Where to eat whilst staying at Lamper Head

There's a whole host of great produce available locally, whether you're looking to dine out every evening of your stay or find the best of local produce and do it yourself.

If you'd like to make the most of the house and put your feet up and relax, then you can choose to indulge in a personal chef for the duration of your stay, or simply for an evening. Everything from a seafood BBQ to a formal dinner can be arranged.

There is one of the widest choices of places to eat out in the area, from simple cafes and country pubs to the finest dining restaurants, many of which we have reviewed and are contained in the Guest Directory available at Lamper Head for our guests to consult.

Where to go and what to see

Whatever your interests and level of adrenaline, from sedate to "should be sedated", there is no shortage of things to see and do whilst staying at Lamper Head including marinas, fishing, railways, climbing, stunning family beaches, rare breed farms, zoos, waterfalls, vineyards, stunning gardens, even an otter and butterfly sanctuary.

If your interests lie in exploring the unique local history then there is something for everyone – including the homes of everyone from Sir Francis Drake to Agatha Christie and plenty of English Heritage and National Trust properties.

Contemporary culture is just as readily available with local cinemas, galleries and theatres aplenty, and a range of sporting venues whether you want to participate or spectate, including sailing, surfing, diving, golf, tennis and horse riding from beginner to expert.
